Company ProfileThe Old Bat Company is located in the foothills of the Appalachian mountain range. The rock maple grows slow and very dense here in the north east. Shawn Seely started crafting rock maple bats in 2000. Bill "Spaceman" Lee joined the team bringing with him 14 years of MLB experience where he pitched for the Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos. Bill's passion is teaching young players to hit with the traditional wood baseball bats. The Spaceman, Shawn, Stephen Vail, and David Lutz wish to thank baseball players from all over North America for their input in the designing of our perfect wood baseball bats. Don’t miss Bill’s Quotes on “Answers from space”. Bill's tuned in and ready to enlighten you!!
Players checking out our Rock Maple bats. The Spaceman at the World Wood Baseball World Series. Check out other testimonials on "What our fans say" page Shawn/Bill, I'd just like to offer a comment or two from a heavy user of the Old Bat product: After acquiring a few of these magic wands from the Spaceman at a baseball camp, and using them in our league games in the Florida Space Coast Baseball League, I immediately called Bill to order a dozen more. Roughly 3/4 of our team use Old Bat lumber, and we truly believe it has helped our run of dominance in the league. They greatly surpass other popular brands in durability and firmness. It can often be a risk taking Wild Bill's advice on life, (and advice on hitting from a pitcher), but his baseball advice has proven true with the use of these bats. Thanks, Bill. If we ever break any, we'll be ordering more. What's a 50+ year-old free agent lefty pitcher going for these days? Respectfully Sent,
