Shawn/Bill,
I'd just like to offer a comment or
two from a heavy user of the Old Bat product:
After acquiring a few of these magic
wands from the Spaceman at a baseball camp, and using them in our
league games in the Florida Space Coast Baseball League, I
immediately called Bill to order a dozen more. Roughly 3/4 of
our team use Old Bat lumber, and we truly believe it has helped our
run of dominance in the league. They greatly surpass other
popular brands in durability and firmness. It can often be a
risk taking Wild Bill's advice on life, (and advice on hitting from
a pitcher), but his baseball advice has proven true with the use of
these bats.
Thanks, Bill. If we ever break
any, we'll be ordering more. What's a 50+ year-old free agent
lefty pitcher going for these days?
Respectfully Sent,
Jeff Steele
Manager, Space Coast Sharks

Hi,
I just wanted to let you guys know that your bats are awesome. We
have
the Miramichi bats in maple and we have used them for almost a year
now.
We purchased 4 bats and not one has broken! My son, Matthew, who is
14
has hit probably over 3,000 balls with his bat. Thanks for such a
great
product.
Sincerely,
Fred DiPietro

...I
first used a bat from The Old Bat Company at a Diamond Dreams
Baseball Fantasy Camp back in October 2003.
I thought the Miramichi Masher was one of the most solid wood
bats I've ever hit with. The
ash most wood bats are made from pale in comparison to rock-hard
Canadian maple. It just
feels good on the hands, especially at the moment of contact.
After
using the bat, I later learned it was named after Ted Williams
favorite fishing spot in
Canada
(the
Miramichi
River
). How cool is that! If
you're any kind of a baseball fan, you can't help but appreciate the
significance of the name. To
me, it's an indicator of the kind of thought and attention that the
"The Old Bat Co" gives to their product.
Anyone
with wood and a lathe can make a bat, but it is rare to find a bat
company that offers a "baseball experience".
You're on to something good, keep up the good work.
I will continue to tell friends, fellow players and fans
about "The Old Bat Company."

EXCELLENT.
Shawn,
2 games ….. no
broken weapons to date. About ½ the team is using them right now
and the feed back has been great. Everyone is very pleased with them
so far. The Mashers seem to be the weapon of choice for most of the
guys. I’ve really enjoyed the Masher’s I’ve been using (rock
maple). They are extremely hard and have a very good feel to them
when making contact. I even took a real good fast ball off the hands
against Mike Kierstead and was able to muscle out a line drive to
center. My experience with bats in the past (Brett for ex) tell me I
should have broken my bat on that pitch but the rock maple Masher
didn’t even vibrate let alone break. I have to admit that in the 4
years I’ve been using wood bats that these feel like the best of
the bunch. I’m very happy that we were introduced to your line of
bats and am quite confident we will indeed be ordering more over the
summer.
Thank you for
producing such a quality weapon.
Jody Peterson (
Fredericton Royals) Senior Team.
Great we will talk to
you later …the bats are great we have only broke two ……compared
to the 20 bretts we had broke this point in the season last year.i
may get jody to order a few more maybe 6 in a week or two. I will
get him to send you a check when he gets the totals.
